An algorithm to calculate the carbon footprint

On the Circularity platform, companies register, are geo-located and can classify their waste according to its volume and different chemical and physical characteristics. The company using the platform is then automatically put in touch with actors capable of implementing a circular economy around its waste: specialised transporters, treatment plants capable of recycling or recovering their waste, start-ups that have the technology to use it… 

Thanks to all the information collected, the platform can track all the material flows using a complete taxonomy of industrial waste. As the first digital platform in Italy dedicated to the recycling and recovery of industrial waste, Circularity also allows to value the environmental gain thanks to a carbon footprint calculation algorithm and to a classification of solutions according to their environmental impact.
